Tom Heaps-Nelson joined Skysis in 2020 and is a Commercial Strategy Professional based in San Diego, CA. Tom works with clients to improve their product development business transformations, commercial & regulatory portfolio strategies, and M&A activities.

EXPERIENCE

Prior to joining Skysis, Tom was a Senior Manager for Scimitar Inc. leading several operations and strategy initiatives. His background also includes R&D strategies with MIT and Singapore University of Technology and Design, and global manufacturing planning with Numonyx B.V. and Intel Corporation.

EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATION

Tom earned his PhD in Engineering Systems, MBA, and MS in Chemical Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from Iowa State University and a BS in General Engineering (with high distinction) from Harvey Mudd College. Additionally, Tom is PMP certified by the Project Management Institute.
